The Regional Public Charitable Organization “Drug Abuse Prevention Centre” has got the grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society and is going to start the implementation of the project “Safeguarding the Future - introducing effective methods of psychoactive substances use prevention among girls”
Within the framework of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia” the coordination meeting of the project participants from 11 regions was held in St. Petersburg on May 13, 2019.
RPCO "Drug Abuse Prevention Centre" arranged the side-event "Safeguarding the future through age-tailored and gender-sensitive prevention of drug use in the framework of the 62nd session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, that was held March 14-23, 2019 in Vienna (Austria).
02-07 of December 2018 within the framework of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia” 15 representatives of CSOs and LAs of 10 project regions and relevant experts have taken part in the study tour to Sweden for familiarization with prevention and support programs for women and discussions of civil society – authorities cooperation.
On October 15-18, in St. Petersburg, the training “Managing NGOs during the implementation of primary gender-specific alcohol and drug prevention programs” was held within the framework of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia”.
01-07 of October 2018 within the framework of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia” two meetings have been held with leaders and specialists of local authorities, NGOs and government organizations in the Republic of Khakassia and the Tyva Republic.
On September 13, 2018, a round table in Petrozavodsk was held within the framework of the project " "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia"".
On August 20 - 22, 2018, interdepartmental discussions of the project "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia", presented by the Regional Public Charitable Organization "Drug Abuse Prevention Center", took place in Ivanovo and Kostroma.
On June 4-5, 2018, the project manager met with representatives of regional and local authorities and civil society organizations in the Komi Republic to support the implementation of the project "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia".
Within the framework of the project "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia", on May 24 - 25, 2018, the project coordinator visited Ulan-Ude.
