Meetings in Syktyvkar
On June 4-5, 2018, the project manager met with representatives of regional and local authorities and civil society organizations in the Komi Republic to support the implementation of the project "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia".
On June 4, an interdepartmental meeting was held at the Ministry of National Policy of the Komi Republic. The meeting was attended by the Minister of National Policy of the Komi Republic Galina Gabusheva, the deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Komi Tatjana Saladina, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Olga Babina, Chief Physician of the Republican Narcological Dispensary Yulia Pasynkova, Head of the State Department for NGO support of the "Support Center for Economic Development of the Komi Republic" N.Savelyeva, representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy , the Ministry of National Policy, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Komi, NGOs. The problems of the use of psychoactive substances by women in the Komi Republic, the practical issues of project activities, the issues of holding contests for NGOs, and interagency cooperation in the implementation of the regional anti-drug and alcohol policy have been discussed. On June 5, the activities of two non-profit organizations - the RPM "Indigenous Women of the Komi Republic" and the Komi People's Movement "Komi Voityr" (Komi People) movement was presented. On the same day it was held a working meeting in the Komi republic agriculture college "(village Vylgort Syktyvda District of the Komi Republic) with the director of the institution – Svetlana Savinova, who is also head of the municipal district. The issues of prevention of substance abuse among girls and women in the educational institution and among the residents of the district were discussed. The project is implemented with the support of the European Union.
