The Office of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-West Federal District has provided information support to the project "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia".
May 14, 2018, the launching meeting of the project "Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia” was hold in St. Petersburg.
Within the framework of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia”, advocacy visit to Pskov was completed by the project coordinator and the project expert on NGO support on 10-11 of May.
On April 27, 2018 the kick-off meeting of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia” was held in the Aglaya Kortyard Hotel (St. Petersburg, Razezjaya Street, 38).
Within the framework of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia” two meetings have been held with leaders and specialists of local authorities, NGOs and government organizations in the Arkhangelsk and Novgorod regions.
Drug Abuse Prevention Centre, with support of European Commission, has started realization of the project “Exploiting the potentialities of CSOs and LAs for development of holistic prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among girls and women in lagging regions of Russia”.
The regional public charitable organization "Drug Abuse Prevention Centre" had got a grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society and has started the project "Alcohol-free Pregnancy".
Drug Abuse Prevention Centre (St. Petersburg) has completed the implementation of the public benefit program "Prevention of replicative orphanhood among persons who were deprived of parental care in there childhood" in the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg.
On November 21-22, 2017 Britt Fredenman, project manager of the BellaNet network, conducted the training "Education of girl group leaders as a component of comprehensive gender-specific prevention and support".
The conference "Effective approaches to prevent alcohol and drug abuse among women and to support dependent women " was held at the Aglaya Courtyard Hotel (St. Petersburg, Russia) on November 20, 2017.
