Rubble and Roses
The training “Interactive leadership for gender specific drug prevention work” was held in St. Petersburg on November 20-22, 2019.
Representatives of 20 Civil society organisations from 11 regions of the Russian Federation took part in a three-day training organized by the Regional Public Charitable Organization “Drug Abuse Prevention Centre” in the conference hall of the Aglaya Kortyard Hotel. The training was conducted by Leena Harake, Executive Director of the Women's Organizations Committee on Alcohol and Drugs Issues (Stockholm, Sweden). The basic approaches to group work with girls, methods and exercises used in the program “Rubble and Roses” were considered. On the second day of the training, the participants mastered the skills in the “Forum” game, which proved its effectiveness for groups of girls. The third day of the event was devoted to the basic principles and rules of group work, the development of leadership opportunities. The training participants expressed a high degree of satisfaction with the training and their willingness to implement the knowledge and skills gained in their work. At the end of the training, participants were awarded by certificates.
